Research and Information Gathering

At this stage we gather the content and information necessary to create a solid content and design strategy.

My Responsibilities

  1. Provide guidance as to what type of info and content is necessary for your website.
  2. Conduct design research and brainstorming based on information provided in the project questionnaire.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Provide all content to be used throughout your website.
  2. Make a list of goals and page elements for your website homepage.

Content Strategy and Planning

This stage serves to provide a clear direction for your website.

My Responsibilities

  1. Prepare a Project Outline document for your review. Included within are a site-map and a list of goals and elements for all major pages/sections.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Review and edit (if necessary) the Project Outline document.

Wireframing and Visual Design

Because we now have a solid content strategy, a design can be created that is focused on making your content look great and easy to consume.

My Responsibilities

  1. Create wireframes and website design(s) for the homepage, and each major type of subpage. If necessary, tablet and smartphone layouts will be included at this time.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Review and edit (if necessary) the wireframes and design comps.

Coding and Programming

The nuts and bolts of your project are created at this stage.

My Responsibilities

  1. Code the approved designs into a working website.
  2. Set up your website for testing and review.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Review and edit (if necessary) a fully-functional, non-public version of your website.

Website Launch

Your carefully planned, thoughtfully-designed, and well-constructed website goes live!

  1. Set up your website on your server of choice.
  2. If necessary, set up and configure email addresses, mailing list manager, and website statistics software.
  3. Provide invoice.

  1. Provide payment for remaining balance.
